Potential Breast Implant Side Effects – How To Avoid Any Complications

Breast implants – is there another way?

Breast implants are usually of two types, silicon and saline. Silicon implants are proven to be dangerous. They have caused innumerable side effects and are deemed bad. Saline implants too have their own risks.

The implants when implanted into the breast for enhancement reasons, the body has to accept the external intrusion. If it doesn’t then complications arise; this is physical. The other complication is when the implant itself gives trouble. For example, if the silicon in the implant acts up on the body and disrupts the autoimmune system then the whole body takes a beating. These complications can be avoided to a minimum if the patient is informed of the reasons and effects. The patient should know if the implants to be implanted are safe enough and secondly and importantly, will it suit her body right. Once that is through then you are safe to go ahead with the procedure.

The wisest thing to choose is the saline implants. Even if the implant goes faulty and the pouch gives away the saline solution, that wouldn’t affect the skin as bad therefore safer to use than silicon implant anytime. A regular follow up post procedure is paramount and if there is a slight irritation or any other signs or symptoms relating to the implant, the patient should immediately seek medical intervention. Connective tissue diseases are a problem that is caused by the silicon implants and one should make sure that they stay away from augmentation surgery if they are already susceptible with connective tissue disorder or have a history of the same.
